The Mary Chapel recalls the words of Our Lord to St. John, “Behold Thy Mother.” In the south transept, the statue of Our Lady rests above a white marble altar. Directly overhead is the rose window with a Dove in its center, the symbol of the Holy Spirit.
The entire wall is covered by the Marian Mural which depicts the Annunciation and the Nativity, one band of Apostles, another band of angels, and at the apex of the arch, the Crowning of Mary as Queen of Heaven.
