Children's Ministry

Children's Ministries at St. John’s Cathedral include Parish Home School of Religion (PHSR); Sacramental Preparation for First Reconciliation, First Eucharist, and Confirmation (8th through 11th grade); and Children’s Liturgy of the Word.

PHSR & Sacramental Preparation: Through small group, on-line, and home schooling, we provide Kindergarten to High School students with catechesis and sacramental preparation.

Children’s Liturgy of the Word: All children from 4 to 10 years of age will have the opportunity once a month during the school year to celebrate the Liturgy of the Word as a group in the lower sacristy. Trained leaders proclaim God’s Word in approved children friendly language and reflect on it with the children. Children will rejoin their families for the Liturgy of the Eucharist.
